Episode 31: Dr. Katashia Kendrick talks Fibroids, Infertility, Life Saving Surgery
Warrior Wednesdays with Dr. Katashia Kendrick
They say our tears water the seeds from where our BLESSINGS GROW!! Well then, Dr. Katashia Kendrick… I hope you’re ready to be ABUNDANTLY BLESSED! Today was different. Today was other. This was a day where the word “Warrior” was an understatement and took a back seat to God’s child that He calls KATASHIA! @drkpkendrick is a force of womanhood like no other I’ve encountered before. At the age of 25 she was diagnosed with fibroids. After surviving a myomectomy that removed 30 fibroids, 10 years later they returned - but this time with endometriosis. If that wasn’t enough, it would be her third surgery where the doctor saw her vital organs were severely shifted from the fibroids and would tell her husband, “I cannot save your wife’s uterus.” Joseph replied, “Save my wife!” (God Bless him) After waking to find her fate… she lost her faith. Anger, disappointment, frustration, and the mourning of a dream took over her life for a year. Until one day, her spirit heard, “Go to church.” It would be that special Sunday that a sermon about infertility was preached and a support group was started. After not going to church for a year, God sent Katashia on the day He would affirm to her, “I’m still with you. I’ve never left you.” From that day forward Dr. Katashia began to find NEW FAITH, speak out, and become an advocate for women’s health and infertility. Still on the journey… Dr. Katashia is “thanking God” while her story is STILL being written. I thank God for you Katashia. Thank you so much @drkpkendrick for your gift of testimony and the love you shared on this day. Proud to witness your magic! ❤️ God bless you my sister Warrior friend! 🙌🏾🙏🏽 #fibroidsawareness #fibroids #endometriosis#endometriosisawareness #hysterectomy#hysterectomyrecovery #infertility #infertilitysucks #warriors#blackwomen #blackwomenshealth #womensupportingwomen#womenempowerment #ivf #ivfjourney
